I'm not a toilet-humor kind of person so I was not completely comfortable with this piece until I got to the title whose nautical/biblical implications crack me up. The image is from a photo a friend took fairly recently. This is the second self-portrait in this series, the others being Who We Are and Aix en Provence. I'm not much of a likeness catcher, it's hit-or-miss so I hesitate to call these self-portraits... I just used my face as point of departure. I did the face in greys then glazed over with blue. |
