Found a shelving board on the street & cut it into three, one for each amamal "appropriated" from drawings done by elementary kids in south Georgia when I did residencies there for the Georgia Council for the Arts (1988-9). I would walk around the room, get them drawing, say, "draw a pig, draw a horse..." and once when I said, "draw a cow" they said, "What?" I said, "Cow" they said, "What?" & finally one of them said, "Oh, he means kaow." Just a yankee in the southlands. | next |
