On this found mirror (a medicine cabinet door) I used a found self-portrait from about 1972... looks like manson. I put in the background over-all patterning without at first realizing the implications, if you can believe, of the cross. Leaving the eyes unpainted mirror & titling it Who We Are certainly gives it a metaphysical twist. I happened to be wearing a yellow t-shirt when I photographed it so the eyes end up being yellow. |
