Another cabinet door... as with Puzzlementarian, imagery derives from drawings i've done while waiting for the copy machine to do up a batch. I'd just quickly fill space with shapes, lines... ended up with bunches of'em and selected one for this painting. Did the edge as a framing device, using a meandering linear approach sort of Islamic or daVinci filligree. I was very aware of the green shapes as shapes against a violet ground but the violet is very difficult to ignore as shape itself. |
