humor, based on the idea of juxtaposing two disparate objects,
each bringing their implications along, meeting, maybe clashing,
but producing new implications. Living at the time in Northern
Michigan, approaching graduation.... two other students &
I collaborated on a show of throw-away art. This piece was in
it. At the time I just took severe winters as normal and didn't
anticipate escaping south. The area, on Lake Superior, was a
summer place for Chippewa Indians, and I try to follow their
path of wisdom.
