Did these two drawings just before
going off to grad school in 1973-4. Improvised in that I just started
drawing and let it go where it wanted. The one situated outside is
obviously I think influenced by comic books, which I looked at plenty
growing up in a pre-TV world. The top one has both together. When
I arrived in Atlanta I took this to a printer to get copies made for
some vague idea of promoting myself for illustration jobs. The printer
spilled some kind of fluid on them so didn't charge me ... but of
course ruined the drawings. Not the only experience of this kind I've
had. The images are scanned copies, not the originals.
