                                       in this case pulling from travel sketch books from my second European trip, Fall 1982, 4 x 5'. This         painting didn't make the cut, or it made the literal cut... selected portions were cut-out & sit on a shelf in my studio trying to decide what to do. I used the dates of wars, to pot-shot that monster, Picasso's birth-date & other familiar time segments for a little humor.
