oil on tongue & groove panel,  24 x 24"

Next... This painting was done for a summer 2005 exhibition curated by Marianne Lambert, at the Swan Coach House Gallery, part of the History Center Complex in Atlanta. The Show was entitled, Artists Paint Their Pets. This fits into the "found object" category because it is on tongue & groove pine leftover from when I re-floored my bathroom. I confess that the central image relates more to a series I did in Hawaii in 2004 than my actual pet, and those in turn derive from sketches I made of my sister's doberman in a travel journal. The smaller sketches around the edge are mostly of Nug (Nugget Q. Underfoot), our Lab/Chow mix companion. I'm holding the painting for the digital photograph taken by neighbor, Nevin Lash for the exhibit.
