The computer imagery comes in two categories: abstraction and representation. Well, I loaded some "representational" drawings in the abstract category & realized it doesn't really matter so don't be confused when you encounter 3 in the abstraction list. There is no "painting is dead" stance in my computer play. The actual/sensual surface of a painting is completely missing on computer work but there are other seductions. My infatuation with drawing representationally is evidenced by that category here. It's great fun to mimic pastel or charcoal drawing, to throw in a little air brush...to "smear" with my "finger". |
